Devan Monette, NSF STRIVE Communications and Operations Manager, is a lifelong student of biology and the sciences, a passion cemented during his bachelor’s studies at Earlham College. His education has taken him around the world, with formative studies in Trinidad, India, and East Africa. Throughout his career, Devan has combined creativity with communication—as both an educator and a professional writer—focusing on storytelling, universal design-based education, and community-based initiatives.

NSF STRIVE Research Administrator, Landmark College
Amy Moreland, NSF STRIVE Research Administrator, oversees the full lifecycle of research grants and supports professional development to strengthen research capacity across the NSF STRIVE network. Previously, she was Assistant Director for Higher Education Initiatives at the UTeach Institute at The University of Texas at Austin, leading a team providing technical support, data collection, and evaluation services to over 50 university partners, helping expand innovative teacher preparation programs and strengthen the STEM education pipeline nationwide.

NSF STRIVE Principal Investigator, Director of Grants & Sponsored Programs, Landmark College
Lisa Chabot, NSF STRIVE Principal Investigator and Director of Grants and Sponsored Programs at Landmark College, brings 40 years of grant writing and management experience. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bridgewater State University and a master’s degree in organizational communication from Marist University. Since joining Landmark College in 2019, Lisa has overseen grant administration and works closely with the President to secure funding that advances Landmark’s strategic priorities.

NSF STRIVE Principal Investigator, Associate Director, CAPA, Bennington College
David Bond, Associate Director of the Center for the Advancement of Public Action (CAPA) and Faculty in Environmental Studies at Bennington College, serves as NSF STRIVE Principal Investigator. He holds a Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology, is a Fellow at the University of Vermont Gund Institute, and helped found Bennington’s Prison Education Initiative. He is an award-winning author and the 2022 recipient of the American Anthropological Association’s “New Directions Prize for Public Anthropology.”

Jarod Waite, Associate Academic Dean for Science and Allied Health at the Community College of Vermont (CCV), serves as NSF STRIVE Principal Investigator. With 20 years of experience as both an instructor and an administrator, he holds bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University and a master’s degree from the University of Wyoming. Jarod has developed innovative STEM courses and programs that form the foundation of workforce development initiatives across Vermont.

Adam Grinold, Executive Director of the Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation (BDCC), brings more than two decades of entrepreneurial experience in business startup, development, and ownership, with a focus on hospitality, small business, and real estate. Since 2014, he has led Vermont’s largest regional economic development corporation, leveraging his expertise in leadership, strategic planning, and nonprofit management to foster economic growth and support local businesses.
